Overhaul Technician – CHP/Generators - Northampton
£40,000 – £45,000 + overtime + benefits

Have you ever worked on Jenbachers or any other type of CHP engines?
Are you Northamptonshire based or within a commutable distance to Northampton?
Do you hold a full UK driving licence?

What you need

Time-served mechanical engineer or proven experience in full engine overhauls and rebuilds

Strong mechanical knowledge of reciprocating gas or diesel engines

Hands-on workshop experience including strip-down, inspection, reconditioning, and reassembly

Commitment to safe working practices and attention to detail

Flexibility to support occasional site work when required

About the company & role

Our client is a specialist in power generation and CHP solutions, delivering full turnkey services from design and installation through to overhaul, maintenance and ongoing support. Their workshop facility in Northampton is equipped with specialist tooling and dyno testing equipment, enabling complete “zero-hour” restoration of engines and components.

As an Overhaul Technician, you’ll play a vital role in stripping, inspecting, rebuilding and testing large gas and diesel engines used in energy generation. Working within a skilled engineering team, you’ll ensure engines are returned to service at the highest possible standard, supporting the company’s reputation for quality and reliability in the power generation market.
