£10.97 per hours
Specific working hours are to be confirmed, but general branch working hours are:
Earliest start 06.00 a.m.
Latest finish 17.30 p.m.
To provide a timely, professional service in the delivery of parts to customers and to contribute to the delivery of excellent customer service by making sure that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and promptly.
Key responsibilities and duties - daily tasks will include, but not be limited to:
- Delivering goods
- Adhere to delivery route and agreed delivery times as determined by Branch Manager
- Prioritise deliveries in relation to location and urgency of delivery when necessary
- Drive with care and consideration to uphold the company image and reputation at all times
Providing excellent customer service
- Represent company in a professional and polite way in all dealings with customers
- Take action on customer queries or feedback as required
- Serve customers directly at the collections counter – promptly and professionally
- Report customer complaints or queries to line manager in a timely and efficient way
Handling returns from customers
- Pick up any unwanted goods from customers, check against accompanying paperwork
- Unload returns, pass over returned goods and paperwork upon return to branch
Collecting customer payments
- Collect monies for cash sales and account payment when necessary
- Pay-in customer payments immediately upon return to branch
Dealing with administrative procedures
- Complete all necessary paperwork and procedures relating to customer deliveries and returns, paying particular attention to when signatures need to be obtained or given
Maintaining the vehicle
- Carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks in line with company procedures
- Maintain interior and exterior vehicle cleanliness, report repairs that are needed
- Working safely
- Load the vehicle safely, paying particularly attention to handling hazardous or heavy goods
- Drive in line with the requirements of the up-to-date Highway Code at all times
- Comply with company health and safety requirements at all times
Preparing orders for customer delivery
- Pick stock accurately from printer customer orders - against time-specific deadlines manually or by hand-held laser scanner from a range of alpha-numeric locations
- Check accuracy of order and take action re quality of packaging as appropriate
- Putting away stock in a range of alpha-numeric locations: received from Sheffield, Parkway Rise or direct from suppliers returned from customers
Managing stock
- Check accuracy of stock locations using a hand-held laser scanner
- Rotate stock, carry out stock takes, investigate stock discrepancies
Dealing with administration and paperwork
- Split, sort and organise pick notes from a printer
- Accurately process paperwork for customer returns, warranty claims, and old stock
Special requirements:
- Driving a non-HGV delivery vehicle
- Lifting/carrying/handling goods – maximum weight 25 kg
- Flexible start times between 0600 and 0830
- Over 23 due to insurance on vehicle
- Held licence for 2 years minimum and UK licence
- No more than 3 points
- Preferable delivery experience
- Approximately 20 drops a day (10 then return and 10)
- Good level of English –
- Dealing with Scanners and checking stock is correct
